The Good Guys
GDI's self-proclaimed mission is to preserve the earth. They do this, by protecting it from total annihilation at the hands of their enemy: The Brotherhood of Nod. The Global Defense Initiative is easily most powerful entity on the planet, a title which is contested only by Kane. Many people are worried, however, that it is not Nod that they have to worry about, but GDI. They report to no one, and they have virtually infinite resources. Could the Brotherhood be telling the truth? Is it GDI that we have to fear, and not the Brotherhood? Hard to say, seeing as how both factions seem to claim that they are just, and the other will be our undoing. Whatever their true purpose, The GDI do have some amazing technology within their arsenal: Ultra-precise ION cannon satellites, the colossal Mammoth Mark V, and Rocket Launcher systems that never have to touch the ground. They may be a bit more limited, being a traditional (I mean that as lightly as possible) military bureaucracy, but they are a force to be reckoned with. Kane has his work cut out for him.
